Inspired by the works of Darío Soteno Léon from Metepec, Mexico. Leon made ceramics that are referred to as “cuardilla” or “curing sets”. Small figurines of humans, animals, and everyday objects would be brought together and arranged to perform healing ceremonies for the sick.
Made of low fire clay and painted with acrylic paint. Acrylic paint is typical of Latin American ceramics.
